What is color psychology?

Famed German writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe wrote  in his seminal 1810 text, Theory of Colours, the idea that our perception of colors trigger certain emotions and because of that, it we are driven to make purchase decisions based on color.  Consumers make subconscious judgments about a product within the first 90 seconds and more than 62% of that is based on color.
