How does the Shutterstock music subscription work?

Shutterstock’s music subscription plan offers you access to our large music library at the best value.

Our unlimited subscription gives you all the audio content you need with a Standard License. For security reasons, we limit daily downloads to 40 tracks. This type of license covers all web-based projects: videos hosted on social media or major video hosting platforms, podcasts; as well as non-web projects limited to the industrial usage (trade shows, corporate events, point of sale). Each Standard music license covers you for one project, worldwide, in perpetuity. If you need to use a particular track on multiple projects, you need to license it again for the new project by clicking on the track download button. For all other use cases, you may need the Enhanced License. You can get more details here.

You will need the Enhanced music license if you plan to use music on TV, on the radio, in a film, or in apps. Here is an overview of what the standard and enhanced music licenses offer:

If you ever decide that our music subscription is not the right choice for you, you can turn off the service by switching the auto-renew setting off in your profile. Your subscription will end at the end of your twelve month commitment for the annual upfront plan.
