You invested a lot of time and resources into creating your presentation, and the last thing you want to do is mess it up with the wrong image. Before you invest in a stunning yet not-quite-right photo, try out the image or clip directly in your project before making the purchase. Here's how:
Previewing an image is easy on Shutterstock and requires little tech savvy on the user's part. Whether you want to preview your stock photo in a PowerPoint presentation or on a web page, as an ad banner or as a social media profile pic, you can do so with a drag and a drop — seriously. Just click the image you want to preview, hold it and drag it to your desktop or folder. You can also click "Try" which will save the watermarked image as a download.
To protect artists' rights to an image, we do add a watermark to each previewed image, which includes the Shutterstock logo. You can receive an unwatermarked image by licensing the image.
Need something a little more dynamic in your presentation or website? Test out a video clip or several before purchasing the right one. Simply download the clip by clicking "Try" on the clip page. The download will begin immediately and go to the directed folder. Upon viewing, you will notice that, like when previewing images, the clip has a Shutterstock logo.
Just as when previewing Shutterstock images, you can test out video clips in presentations, on web pages or in any other project. However, bear in mind that test clips come with a resolution of approximately 600x300 pixels.
Gain Access to One of the Largest Databases for Royalty-Free Images
When you license a Shutterstock image or video clip, you're licenses to use it in perpetuity within our Terms of Service. Our database features over 232 million royalty free images, each of which you can gain access to by purchasing one of our flexible subscription plans. Depending on your needs and the size of your organization, you can gain access to as little as 10 images a month or as many as 750 a month. You can also get images on demand by purchasing a prepaid image pack. Annual plans come with Shutterstock Editor Pro, so that you can revise images to suit your creative needs.
Unwatermarked Image and Footage Comps
We get it – sometimes a watermark can really detract from the overall impression of an image or video clip. If you're putting the final touches on a huge project that can make or break your career, school presentation or project, you can submit a request for an unwatermarked comp.
