The Known Image Restrictions list is a collection of all currently known subjects that infringe on intellectual property. This list has been compiled as a reference for Shutterstock contributors and customers in order to protect against intellectual property infringement issues.
All currently known subjects that infringe on intellectual property are included in the Known Image Restrictions, but this list is not all-inclusive, as copyright and trademark laws are frequently changing. Ultimately, all content submitted to Shutterstock is reviewed on a case by case basis.
New entries are added to this list as deemed necessary by our Compliance and Review teams. If you have any questions concerning these restrictions, please contact us.
