Natalie on creating this image: “This is a photograph of my Welsh Springer Spaniel, Birdie. My family and I were camping with family friends in Tonto National Forest, Arizona when this photograph was taken. Birdie was only a little over one year old at that time, and it was already her second camping trip. We were camped out right along the river bed, and she loves to swim!

The photograph was taken right after she had been playing around in the river. She wanted to follow me into the tent, but was too wet and muddy to be allowed in before getting cleaned off. I feel very fortunate to enjoy adventures out in nature with my family, friends, and pets, taking photographs along the way!

Kiian on creating this image: “It really is a simple story. A memory of summer. The fresh vegetables that have absorbed the summer sun, a barbecue with friends. Simple summer memories. The pepper was fried on the fire, and very quickly marinated with fragrant olive oil, garlic, and spices. The dish served as an excellent appetizer paired with meat. I simply wanted to tell the story of summer through an image of delectable food.”

Zolotarevs on creating this image: “Our island (Thailand) is an endless source of inspiration for me. In the springtime, strong ebbs come and the sea turns into a desert. Each sunset is a theatrical performance with the best scenery. I wanted to capture the sun, light, nature, and female beauty. The exotics of this place casts ethnic motives that I love so much.

Stephanie on creating this image: “This image is part of a series that was inspired by my first trip to Northern California many years ago. As a Midwesterner raised in landlocked agriculture, the trip along the northern ÇA coast opened my eyes to a whole new world that I instantly fell in love with. The evergreens and redwoods nestled along the coasts, the early morning marine fog creeping off the coasts into the forestry, the small fishermen town that were so gray and quaint, their coastal comfort cuisine, and of course, the sea.

It is what inspired my move to California twenty years ago. When I became a photographer, I knew the one project I wanted to create was the environment that I connected so deeply with on that trip. The series is not over as I will always strive to shoot what inspires me and this is forever a place connected to my soul.”

Shiv Mer on creating this image: “I took this picture one evening when my grandma was telling about her life and how she misses my grandpa so much. It was trip down the memory lane for her which was reflected in her eyes. So, I thought I should really capture the emotion in her eyes. They say eye of a person tells you a lot of things. So I aimed for that.

Kevin on creating this image: “This was taken at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Nairobi, Kenya at the baby elephant and rhino orphan center. The center takes in elephants, rhinos, and other animals around Kenya who have been orphaned, primarily due to poaching. This elephant was one of the young ones who was still dependent on mothers milk, so its rehabilitation will take a few more years before being strong and big enough to be released back into the wild. The center also has a wonderful “digital adoption program” which allows people around the world to help support the center.

Zarzamora on creating this image: “Sometimes when I’m choosing products to photograph, I listen to my feelings on upcoming trends. Soft cheeses are very fashionable now, so burrata was a natural choice. I’m also passionate about vibrant colors, and inspired by unusual combinations in shades of products.

Fusion is what rules trends right now, whether it’s design, fashion or cuisine. Recipe, color, or texture: everything should carry be an experiment to find the best combination and be prominent.”

500 Top Images from 2019 to Inspire Your Creativity for 2020 — Even Pros Look for Lucky Snaps

Grant on creating the cat image:This image was taken on the Greek island of Naxos during a sailing trip. We stopped late in the evening to visit an olive pressing shop as the sun was going down. There were a lot of cats roaming about, and I lined up a sunball over the olive shop, and bingo! Cats were running up and over the curve of the white washed building. I’d call it a lucky snap.

Anjelika on creating this image: “I like to photograph food as well as cook it. My children love trying new and interesting food ideas that I make. I had decided on making something healthy and fun, so these broccoli and cheese sandwiches came out. I always make more food so that some can be left for shooting. Before making the sandwiches, I prepare everything for the shoot; lights, background, board and knife. For my photography I planned out a simple composition, without a huge amount of props, so that nothing would distract from the main subject in the frame. Only a few sprigs of broccoli to reveal the main ingredient.”
