It’s time for another installment of Follow Favorites, our new feature spotlighting some of the coolest contributors we’ve been Following on Shutterstock. This one is a special Fashion Week edition, as the bi-annual event that captures the attention of the fashion world is once again in full swing in NYC. We’ve selected two of our favorite fashion-focused contributors, photographer Aliyev Alexei Sergeevich and illustrator Yusuf Doganay, for the creative spotlight. Read on to get a glimpse of their work, along with insight from Shutterstock Curator Liz Lapp about why we’ve been Following them both — and why you should, too.
“I love the direction Sergeevich takes with his models. Their poses are so varied and unconventional when compared to more run-of-the-mill fashion shoots. Plus, his styling is contemporary and very much in tune with today’s trends. I also always find myself drawn to the soft colors he uses in some of his filtering.”
“These illustrations remind me of something you would spot in a fashion designer’s sketchbook or in the pages of a hip look-book. Doganay’s fashion sketches have a ready-to-wear appeal that deserve a spot in your library of go-to images for whenever fashion and fun are part of your project.”
