Shutterstock is simplifying the presentation process with a new add-in for Microsoft PowerPoint that lets you search, preview, and insert images from our collection directly into your slides. Wake up the conference room with powerful photos, vibrant backgrounds, and compelling illustrations from our library of over 84 million images, all without opening a browser.
The add-in, which works with PC users on PowerPoint 2013, PowerPoint 2016 and Office365, is another complement to features like PowerPoint Designer, which makes recommendations on how to use that high quality imagery effectively.
After installing the add-in to PowerPoint, you can try out watermarked previews of the images in your slides without a Shutterstock account. Then to begin purchasing images, you can log in with your own Shutterstock account or sign up for a new one. You can quickly search by keyword, or browse custom curated image categories like backgrounds, business, people, and nature.
With the option to preview images before you buy, you can experiment with styles and dimensions before you find the perfect image for your slide.
There are three size options to give you the right image dimensions whether adding an image alongside bullet points, selecting a visual for a transition slide, or looking for images for large-scale displays or professional printing.
“We know our customers are frequently using images to enhance their PowerPoint presentations” said Steven Guggenheimer, Corporate Vice President Developer Experiences at Microsoft. “With this Microsoft Office 365 PowerPoint add-in, Shutterstock is broadening our ability to enhance productivity through its collection of high-quality imagery to professional users.”
“One of the most common ways business professionals use Shutterstock images is in presentations,” says Jon Oringer, founder and CEO of Shutterstock. “With hundreds of millions of users, PowerPoint is the most successful presentation tool in the world; it’s the short-hand of business communications. We’re delighted to be working with the Office team to offer incredible images directly in the application.”
