Last week, Pixels of Fury arrived in Toledo, Ohio, where we held our latest live-design battle with AIGA. The event took place in conjunction with the local chapter’s summer show and fundraiser, Rock, Paper, Sizzle, and in keeping with the exhibition’s theme of album-art reinvention, the competitors were given musically appropriate challenges to design by.

In the first round, Team Madhouse went up against Team Fresh Meat with 20 minutes to design an original poster with a hip-hop theme. For Round 2, Team Crapshoot took on Team Sans Sherif with heavy-metal designs; and for the final, championship round, the brief was “one-hit wonders.” Check out all of the posters created during the Fury below, including Fresh Meat’s visually pun-tastic winning design, then scroll on for photo highlights from the event.
