What a Drag! Shutterstock Makes Uploading Easier

Our latest improvement to the Shutterstock image submission process is a simple feature, but it might become your favorite. Now when you log in and visit your upload page, you’ll see an area that says “Drag and drop your files here.”

You can drag image files from your computer desktop directly into your web browser and upload them right away. Presto! Once your files are uploaded, you’ll see a button that will take you to the Content Editor. Uploading has never been easier.

You can also choose files from your computer using the “Select multiple files” button. If you prefer FTP (a smart way to move lots of files all at once), FTP uploading still works as before. Use your FTP program to connect to ftp.shutterstock.com and log in with the email address and password you use for the Shutterstock Contributor site. FTP is still the only way we accept footage files, due to their size.

If you want to kick it old-school and use our old browser plug-in, we will keeping it running for a little while. But eventually, we will be phasing the plug-in out. We think once you try drag-and-drop or the “Select multiple files” option, you’ll be hooked.

Good luck and happy uploading!

Best Regards,
The Shutterstock Contributor Team

I adore this new upload page. Saves a good bit of time not having to select each individual file.

When I send my 10 files, the next step should appear, a pge saying, FINISHED, now just wait for us… or a page to the status.

Typically I cannot submit on weblogs, even so would want to declare that this kind of submit truly forced me personally to accomplish this. Great post!
