Like many others, we've had our brains stuck in a bygone era this week, anticipating the premiere of Baz Luhrmann's cinematic take on the iconic tale of The Great Gatsby. First, we reinvented some classic film posters, Gatsby-style, and now we're looking through a similar lens for our latest pair of artists to Follow. Gorbash Varvara embraces the Jazz Age in her flawlessly decadent illustrations, while photographer Debby Wong captured the Gatsby crew themselves at the film's NYC premiere. Check out a sample of both artists' work below, along with notes on why we chose them from Shutterstock Curator Liz Lapp, then click through to view their full portfolios and start Following them yourself.
"Gorbash Varvara's Flapper Girls/Retro Party illustration series really captures the style of the Roaring '20s. I love using these on invitations or notecards to add a bit of that Gatsby flair to my designs. She also has a really diverse selection of delicate filigree and multicultural creations."
