It’s been a fantastic year for Pixels of Fury, the roving design competition we brought to life this summer in partnership with AIGA. Since its launch, the fury has hit cities all over the US, pitting designers against each other in a grab for the Furious Pixel trophy. To celebrate the success of this new series, we’re closing out 2012 with a year-end bash in LA tomorrow night.
AIGA LA is turning up the heat for its 12/12/12 “Winter Wonderland” party, featuring a full-on formal ball alongside the last Pixels of Fury throwdown of the year. For this event, three different design firms — AdamsMorioka, Blind, and Looking — join the USC Roski School School of Fine Arts in presenting teams of two to battle it out for the win.
The judges and the audience will both have a say in who takes home the prize, but with the amount of excitement on offer, everyone really wins this time. If you’re in the LA area, you can still get tickets for the event, which kicks off at 7pm at Mosaic Art Space (826 East 3rd Street). Click on the image above to learn more about the contestants, then dust off your best duds and get ready to help fan the fury.
Of course, the fun doesn’t stop here. We’ll have a whole new calendar of design showdowns in 2013, so keep an eye out to see where Pixels of Fury is touching down in the new year!
