Last week Twitter unveiled a redesign that introduced big header images featured atop people’s profiles on the social-networking site. Similar to Facebook’s Timeline banner image, the new format gives users more control over the look and feel of their feeds. “The redesign definitely puts visuals front and center,” said one critic.
Over the course of the next months, everyone will be transitioned over to the new style, which means that tweeters should begin considering how they’d like to wallpaper that space. Here are 5 suggestions for how to bring the fall season into your page:
Show off the beauty in store for the season with an image that will have your followers craving the outdoors. This bird blends nicely with its floral background, and this image will set a peaceful tone.
Looking for a more understated but still prominent photo to bring people in? This background conjures up childhood memories of playing in the fall leaves in the front yard.
Take a stroll down a fall path full of serenity and possibility. This background delivers the traditional colors of the season — nature in all of its glory.
If it’s autumn, that means that Halloween and Thanksgiving are both around the corner. Get in the spirit of the season with an orange and green pattern, two colors that turn up practically everywhere this time of year.
If you’re looking to get a little more creative with your header image, you can incorporate your own avatar into the design. This image will “leave” you enough room to fit yourself into the fall foliage.
